With Wonder Girls' contract with JYP Entertainment coming to an end soon, rumors about Sunmi, Yenny, Lim, and Yubin leaving the label started to surface. An insider also recently revealed that the members of Wonder Girls are in the process of searching for new agencies

Netizens then recently noticed the removal of Wonder Girls' photo from the JYP building, which strengthened the rumors about their departure.

The golden era of Kpop is coming to an end.  The only way to revive our memories is to film a Reply 2008/2009 series 😉

They are leaving, I see no reason to stay. WG has had no #1 single since Sohee and Sunye quit and their solo activities are even worse with Yeeun flopping because she refused to promote a "commercial" song. Only one I see staying is Sunmi because her solo actually did well.

Nah, I think this is it, it's really over. They're disbanding... and focusing on individual activities!!! Sadly, I don't think they'll do all that well on their own..

.... shit

i hope they are still a group. even if they leave together and form another group. unfortunately the generation that we know is ending and a new one is moving in. it happ and is normal.

Of course there is no proof that they will leave JYP, but they do have the POSSIBILITY to do so. Since we don't really know what's going on behind the scenes; When contracts start expiring, there is always a 50/50 chance of disbandment. So speculation is obviously going to happen. But if theyre not going to disband then the speculation shouldn't matter, JYP. Just move forward how you normally would.

"Wonder Girls' contract renewal is still under discussion." Okay, but why take down their poster? Miss A's poster is still up featuring Jia even though she's no longer a JYP artist. This statement was pointless.

If thats all you were going to say why even bother with a statement?

WONDER GIRLS is more an interest for the 'Over Age 22' crowd. Whereas, TWICE Group is more the Age 12-20 crowd. I am NOT clear that TWICE fans would ever choose to be *big* WG fans that much. Thus, NOT clear to me that TWICE is doing some 'negative impact' on WONDER GIRLS. It is more that WG is *not* in a 'fan base' GROWTH situation at this point. Whereas, TWICE Group is. Anyway, I am *not* clear that TWICE has much of anything to do with what is happening with WG Group. The 'decline' of WG Group is to be expected, as I see it. As to whether you want to keep a *declining* and somewhat *older* age K-pop Group going, difficult to know. One thing, is that JYPe Agency is now more of a CORPORATE and PROFIT situation with SHAREHOLDERS and what all. Which, that is WAY DIFFERENT than when JYP 'himself' did start out with WONDER GIRLS. A *lot* has changed now with JYPe Agency. I am suggesting that JYP's *personal* viewpoint does NOT have a much 'weight' as it once did. It is NOT more about SHAREHOLDER and PROFITS with JYPe Agency. And less about if JYP like WONDER GIRLS and wants to *personally* keep them gong.

It is *NOW more about SHAREHOLDERS and PROFITS ... (typo fix).

With 4MINUTE and KARA Groups, 2NE1 also, these Groups were popular but NO LONGER in a GROWTH MODE situation. And even the members themselves did realize that to be true, in my view. They *might* have 'carried on' for two more years. But nothing all that 'exciting' was likely to happen with their FAN BASE in general. These Groups were pretty much in a 'beginning of *permanent* decline' situation, as I see it.

It would GOOD if WONDER GIRLS might maybe agree to a FAREWELL MV and Live Performance Tour of some kind with JYPe Agency. NOT clear to me that WG members need to sign two year contracts. Maybe just a contract that works for the duration of their FAREWELL activities. Which, it would give WG *fans* a chance to say 'bye' at a Concert and like that. JYP could write the WG 'Swan Song' and all that.
