According to Seoul police personnel, Ms. A served 6 months in prison and received 1 year probation for spreading false information after breaking up with an idol star.
Her partner in crime, known as Mr. B, also received the same sentence. In February 2015, it was reported that the duo wrote on SNS regarding a idol group member Mr. C. Ms. A claimed, "She was raped and submerged by Mr. C, and said she was going to report and expose them (the group)."
However, police investigation stated otherwise. The two people were dating and naturally broke up. There was no trace of any sexual assault.
Judge Park said, "The idol victim has currently ceased his celebrity activities due to this situation, affecting him financially as well as his image. He has yet to receive an official apology."
Meanwhile, Mr. C and fellow member Mr. D have been revealed to have left the group as of December 2015. The agency claimed, "Both members were unable to continue their activities traumatized at a young age by such an incident."
