CJ E&M�has released an official apology and statement regarding the recent controversy over the 'Goblin' OST "Round and Round".
Some viewers took issue with the fact that�Han Soo Ji, who sang the opening for the tvN�drama, was not the main vocalist in the song. Rather, Heize�sang most of the track, while Han Soo Ji was credited as a featured artist. Heize responded to the criticism, and CJ E&M has now made an official statement on the matter.
The company stated, "Firstly, the full song was written by music director Nam Hye Seung before the series aired, and it was chosen as the drama's title song. For an opening with an impact, Han Soo Ji was chosen to record the first 50 seconds of the track, but Nam Hye Seung had another singer in mind for the rest of the song ever since he composed it."
CJ E&M further explained Heize was brought in to record the song after the first 50 seconds, and as there have been complaints, the company will consider releasing the 50-second opening by Han Soo Ji. The label concluded, "We sincerely apologize to both Han Soo Ji and Heize, who were confused during this process. We're also sorry for dissatisfying the viewers. Thank you."
