Ladies' Code are keeping the elegant image from their "Galaxy" days but adding a slightly jazzier sound for their new release, "The Rain."

The MV is beautiful and artistic with a lot of symbolism and aesthetics.  The girls' visuals are striking as well!  They look as gorgeous as ever while their soothing vocals sing poetically about their feelings in the rain.

why do I feel like all their songs all implies survivor's guilt?

It may be that their label is still a bit nervous about releasing something uptempo and light as netizens can be unpredictable and damning over them not being "respectful" enough. However, psychologically it can be hard for an artist having been through that to not have survivor's guilt and feel that "happy" songs are not appropriate at least for now.

Beautiful song, beautiful MV. I hope it does well!

Honestly I don't feel like Ladies Code songs are meant to be enjoyed like a Girls Generation song or other girl groups who are more on the flashy side of kpop. Ladies Code music is just pure artwork and refreshing to listen to.

Actually if you look at Ladies Code's previous works like Kiss Kiss before the accident, their songs are a totally different from "The Rain" its bright cheerful and fun, like other girl groups, I think their songs concept took a Twist when the accident happened, they focused on more sad songs instead. you look at their facial expression in the MV they hardly if ever smiled. Also the songs that Sojung sang in Girls Spirit, like Urban Zakapa's I dun love you, and 2AM's You who dun answer my calls, are also very sad break-up kind of songs, of losing a loved one or saying farewell.

I love this more than Galaxy-but I think I'll need to give it a couple more listens before I"m completely hooked.

I like the song, but I really hope those fish aren't real...

Their vocals sound clear and strong, but not really feeling the song tbh.  Kinda boring.
