Entertainer Kim Jae Dong, who is embroiled in a controversy over his story from his military days, stated that he would go to the prosecutors if they want him.

During the recording of his TV show, 'Talk To You,' Kim Jae Dong discussed the recent issues surrounding him.

Kim Jae Dong previously stated that while he was doing his military duty, he got thrown into the army prison for 13 days for calling his superior's wife "ahjumma" (middle-aged woman); the Korean army disputed the claim, saying that there was no record of him serving time.

One citizen organization brought charges against Kim Jae Dong on October 11, for false accusation and defamation, among others.

The entertainer's comment on October 18 seems to be a response to the charges.

He added, "Other issues should not be buried because of [my] issues...If I am held responsible for anything, I will take responsibility, but corruptions in the military should be addressed and the people responsible should be punished."

is this why he isn't on that tv show anymore?

I can see him being punished and it never getting documented.  This was an *etiquette/respect* issue and not serious enough to have a writeup in his jacket.

The military is a highly-disciplined place but it is also heavily focused on hierarchy and ranks. It is not surprise that injustice, favoritism, or bullying occurs in the military. However, because SK is still at war with NK, it is a sensitive patriarchal issue if someone like Kim Jae Dong (who is pretty influential in the entertainment world) to demean the Korean military.

So if they wanted to keep his imprisonment off the record for unidentified reasons, they can certainly do that.

I believe him, the military is a really shady place. Remember the story about the woman that was sexualy harrased but everyone tried to hide it??

Watching Jae Dong on tv, he seems like an honest person but we'll never really know what's true or not just b/c even if he was imprisoned, who would put that on file. Corruption and injustice happens everywhere and everyday, just gotta fight and change it one step at a time.

His imprisonment was obviously off the record

if anyone knows anything about him, it's that he doesnt care what netizens or people think of him. He will fight for what is right and he will always fight against injustices. That's why people respect him so much in Korea.  I hope he wins this battle too, like the others

They better leave Jae dong alone.

i believe him.  since he looks like a nerd i could see a military hard ass bullying him like that.

i love how i get downvoted for being realistic in a sea of low IQ's. thx low IQ for the downvote, shows you're delusional about life.

Here's an eye opener. Nobody is downvoting you for your comment. They're downvoting you because you are not liked and the downvotes are coming from netizens whose IQs are much much higher than yours.
