Black Pink is quickly becoming everyone's favorite new K-Pop group, and that includes the people at 'Rolling Stone.'

YG's hot new girl group was included in a 'Rolling Stone' feature titled '10 New Artist You Need to Know: September 2016' which gives a brief introduction on Black Pink. 'Rolling Stone' liken Black Pink's sound as an amalgam of bubble gum pop and hip-hop, labeling their style as the "perfect marriage of K-pop and A-town trap."

Yay for Black Pink and their fans!

That's how RS described them. I'm not a BP stan but I liked Whistle. They are in no way those things tho.

I am genuinely amazed that there are people who can work themselves into such an angry frenzy over an article about music. There are lots of groups whose music I don't care for who have achieved success and had articles written about them, but their success has never made me angry. I already spend so much time being angry about stuff that actually matters, like racism, homophobia, etc. I would be exhausted if I went around being angry about music. What it amounts to is this: BP have done very well, very quickly. Regardless of whether or not YG pays them, magazines are going to write articles about them. I would say that judging by the other artists on this list, money is unlikely to have been a factor. Most of the names on that list are from very small labels. If it was a bought list, I doubt that most of them would have been able to afford it. While Rolling Stone has written about 2NE1 and BIGBANG before, they have also drawn their readers' attention to Red Velvet, HyunA, SHINee, TVXQ, Seo Taiji & Boys, and Infinite. Are SM and Cube paying off Rolling Stone? You can think BP are good, you can think BP are bad, you can think BP are okay, but overhyped. But it's time to stop denying that they're popular. You sound ridiculous.

Love all the insecurity or 'honesty' in smokeee case (lol). Keep it up girls so these little pressed heads of haters won't stop spinning!

Ignore Smokee. She's a writer of alljpop eho wants to have many comments in their article thereby bashing each groups on topic. :)

Rolling Stone know

nobody respects rolling stone these days. they're easily bought and overly pretentious with their views on music. their top 100 lists are such a laughable joke too.
