Song Joong Ki clarified rumors going around about THAAD affecting his schedule in China.

With the ongoing tension between China and South Korea, Hallyu stars' promotions overseas have become a concern, including talk about top celebrities like Song Joong Ki. Rumors say that an $8 million Chinese drama offer for Song Joong Ki was recently canceled due to the situation surrounding THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense).

On August 4, a representative spoke on behalf of Song Joong Ki, explaining, "He did receive many offers for Chinese dramas and movies, but nothing was confirmed. Therefore, the word cancellation does not make sense in this situation."

Currently, many hope Song Joong Ki will not become a victim of THAAD.

Fortunately they haven't signed contract. Imagined the money, time, and efforts wasted.

Whether it is AFFECTING (not effecting) the SK celebrities or not they will deny the real reason. Of course part of it is THAAD. This is the silent truth that nobody wants to talk about especially celebrities--everything about China's relationship with other countries. Only the Chinese celebrities based in SK are vocal about the Hauge Ruling. They were just bashed that's why they stopped. If they only know how to diversify and not just concentrate on China the impact is not that great to them but if they are greedy when it comes to money then what more can I say. Even on investment decision you do not put everything in one basket. Vietnam's economy is doing great right now (after being bullied by China look at Vietnam now) and celebrities can also look at Thailand. There's a whole world of possibilities since Korean entertainment is relatively good. And learn from other celebrities to invest on other things such as restaurants, building rentals, etc.

Well, both sides would not earn that much if China really blocks SK celebrities

China does nothing about NK. SK has no choice.

hope this issue will be done soon... it's effecting their perspective idols/actors/actress/singers both in China and S.Korea. I just hope they could come to the conclusion which will benefit both sides.

Shameless Korean, trying to get Chinese money and I fucking hate stupid Chinese people for accepting foreign actors to grab their money

Mana92 EverlastingDiamo Friday, August 5, 2016

Today's society is becoming more global...no need to hate or insult anyone. Chill out

Streetways EverlastingDiamo Friday, August 5, 2016

Not in China and SK only, almost every actress do this when their populaity is rising....

Don't bother responding to this guy. @EverlastingDiamo's account was created yesterday. Clearly, it's Chinese propaganda people making accounts to influence the story.
