During an interview with 'Nylon', Baek Ye Rin opened up about her insecurities. 
To questions on why she's not seen often on broadcasts and performances, Baek Ye Rin answered, "It wasn't on purpose, but it was because I lacked confidence."

She continued, "There was a hiatus after my solo album and I became insecure about my looks. I hated how I looked on TV and the way I looked in pictures. So I avoided being in front of people and rejected opportunities. But a lot of people have helped me now so I am going to try to go out more. I don't enjoy going in front of people, but with more performances, it'll become more natural."
