Seventeen has gotten a warning from KBS.

Recently, a few of the fansite masters had gotten the entire fandom in trouble by filming and taking photos at 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook', a show where filming and photography is strictly banned. Not only so, the fans allegedly told MC Yoo Hee Yeol to get out of the way so they could take photos. Also, one of the members apparently kept asking fans to stop, but the photos did not stop.

In response, KBS has issued a warning to Seventeen and their fans. Pledis Entertainment accordingly issued a warning to fans, saying, "Hello, this is Seventeen's staff. We have currently received a warning from the broadcast station because of today's 'Sketchbook' recording. From now onward, any fan who has been caught recording or taking photos (including broadcasts) at events that ban filming will be banned from the official fan club as well as the official events. Any videos and photos from 'Sketchbook' that are uploaded (included those uploaded after broadcast) will be handled the same way, so please take note."

What do you think about this situation?

KBS is kinda at fault too in my opinion. They should have talked to the fansites and scolded them instead of Seventeen who already one member said they couldn't. They already warned them. It's not like they can forcefully take the camera/phone.. They did their side yet KBS still yells instead of doing something smh

i dont get why filming is banned at some events and i hate it!!

Because the filming of Sketchbook wasn't exactly an 'event'. It's a private recording of a scheduled show for broadcast. Almost ALL shows like that ban live filming/photographs by fans/audience (not just in Korea but around the world) due to broadcasting rights etc. As for events, they ban it due to 'exclusivity'. Why should people pay to go to events if people there are going to film it and release the footage etc? ...

"the fans allegedly told MC Yoo Hee Yeol to get out of the way so they could take photos." Woooowhhhhh, I am not a fan of this group but the MC is old and has the right to be respected, fans really is shameless to do that. I really wonder, what they think to kpop idols? They are also human, they just wear good clothes and makeup and they are just doing their job.

KBS suddenly sounds like North Korea.. lol

America is like that too in some cases. Most filming sites will ban photography and recording.
