Plagiarism and imitation accusations are rampant in K-Pop lately.

Countless acts have been scrutinized for copying certain aspects or ideas of other groups' concepts, and this time MONSTA X is in the unwanted spotlight for allegedly copying EXO

A netizen shared gifs comparing the performances by MONSTA X and EXO, pointing out that MONSTA X directly copied the widely known "Growl" choreography of getting down to the floor and then rising back up. At a glance, the performance do appear similar, and other people who chanced upon this post generally agreed with the OP.

They wrote, "Isn't that 'Growl' dance really f*cking famous??? The rumors that you'll throw out your back attempting to dance to it is also really famous;; I think it's totally unacceptable to copy that move," "Wow...when people mention 'Growl' that's the first move I think can they copy that..?" "F*ck so they plagiarized EXO's dance, Block B's MV, and BTOB's album cover; they must be plagiarism idols," and more.

What is your stance on this latest plagiarism controversy?

1. isn't monsta x's dance just for some dance show they were on?2. lots of group do similar moves alright. exo has copied some moves too. eg. that 'microwave move' you used in monster, you didn't make it coz i've seen others do it before you. I guess they're copying then?

The move is kind of like b-boy's doing a swipe. Very common -.-

Drogo24 Saturday, July 9, 2016

MONSTA X definitely guilty of copying EXO's gayness!

Exo-ls shut up

VeyCo_Yah Saturday, July 9, 2016

Do you think it's possible to find dance steps that were never ever used before? I think I saw a lot of choreographies that looked alike. Get over it

ShutTheFckUp Saturday, July 9, 2016

Let my name say it all.

._. honestly I don't really care, its bound to get reused anyway so why the fuss? XD Like the school uniform thing isn't really a 'EXO' thing, and people get angry at the fact that BTS did one... tbh the only thing i dont really like about EXO is some of their fans, maybe a whole lot of other fans from different groups but my main problem is exols, im sorry...

ShutTheFckUp bwangbwii Saturday, July 9, 2016

I dont know who start this fuss but I will chose to believe that he/she is just a simple netizen just like said in the article and not an EXO-L.

I saw some comments of immature and narrow minded fans ("some" korean exo-l) who keep arguing about this issue and creating fire among fans. Hey wake up! Both groups are unique in their own ways. EXO doesn't own that moves and so Monsta X doesn't copy that moves! This issue wont help your idols. (I'm not EXO-L nor MONBEBE) I'm just stating my opinion. Don't hate me XD XD XD XD

nami_chan Friday, July 8, 2016

Lol so delulu, it's not the whole choreography. Get over it!!.

NotALoser Friday, July 8, 2016
