SHINee's Jonghyun revealed how immersed he was in music even before debuting under SM Entertainment.

On 'Cultwo Show' on June 1, a radio listener gave a witness account of seeing Jonghyun in a music festival even before his debut. Jonghyun said in response, "I went out to a lot of festivals. Originally, in middle school, I was the bassist in a band. I only sang in the chorus, but my agency saw that and casted me.
"My friend who did the singing at the time sings even now at university festivals and ranks in first or second. We're still on close terms."
