Fandom names are known to often make no sense and be cheesy.  Unfortunately, you don't always have a choice in the matter - and sometimes you do but screw it up.  Check out some of the worst in the bunch down below!

ARMY = Adorable Representative MC for Youth

Wow, you think ARMY is a pretty cool fandom name… then they gotta ruin it with that. It was almost like they were trying really hard to put meaning behind it.  What's with Korea and acronyms?  Eh, well at least it sounds cool, as long as you don't know what it stands for.

2AM = I AM

Lip Service = Lip Balm

I guess there would need to be Lip Balms for there to be Lip Service...

April = Fineapple

If you were a fruit, you'd be a… fine apple *wink wink*

Block B = BBC (Block B Club)

Sorry, I just feel like I'm tuning in to watch 'Sherlock' or something - which is awesome, but not the effect you're going for?

Secret = Secret Time

I'm… a Secret Time… I mean… it sounds very mysterious I guess, and also like it makes absolutely no sense.

After School = Play Girlz/Boyz

Another fan-chosen gem…

BoA = Jumping BoA

"Hi, I'm a Jumping BoA.  You may know the singer - I'm just the jumping version of her.  No, not the snake."

This didn't seem that bad to me, but looks like lots of fans have complaints about it.  On second thought, it does seem weird to go around telling people you're a BABY.  A big BABY.

Hi! I just wanted to say that BBC is just a beautiful and original name. And not for what it stands for, yes, that's a little bit simple I know, but when you pronounce "BBC", it sounds like a buzz. Let me explain it. Block B's fans are represented as bees! ^^! In fact, the bee is the actual mascot, it's adorable. They call us bees too and we have like a strange roll and dialect and that freak stuff. I love it. In regard to BABY, it's one of my favourite fandom name. Believe me, your heart squishes when you hear them calling you baby with affection. I think it makes you feel closer to them, and them to be closer with babyz. It is such a precious and lovely name <3Thanks for the article!

Lol, BABY is the most adorable fandom name, i love calling myself a baby XD And if you don't like it, just listen to the members personally calling fans their Babies, maybe your heart will melt like mine <3

i think it officially only work if you are a female fan of BAP, thats assuming all BAP fans are in fact female. imagine a male fan telling BAP that he is their BABY. hmm

To me BABY is cute, what's better than when your idol tells you you're their baby? ARMY is cool unless you know the meaning, and AID is just NO.

jessARWI Monday, June 20, 2016

i like army is strong and funny  at the same time like BTS :)

dopamine20 Monday, June 20, 2016

Lol. Objectively speaking, i agree. Honestly, I was confused with the meaning of army. Especially the 'mc' part. But, let's forget the name and play the game. ;) I'm proud to be army.

Crizzia Monday, June 20, 2016

Proud ARMY here! :)

Alin_bap Sunday, June 19, 2016

BABY is so boyfriend material :)BAP even hva song called B.A.B.Y dedicated jus for their fans!

shannnnt Sunday, June 19, 2016

BBC and BABY are fine. AID is the worst. I wished I never knew the meaning for ARMY dammit.

Taekook_Rania shannnnt Monday, June 20, 2016

Army is actually very good with a strong meaning if u think obout it. Is like the youth is the Mc for the future. And adorable. Thy represent the future. 😁 I have different ways of thinking 😂❤

jessARWI shannnnt Monday, June 20, 2016

CHEAN__Vincent Saturday, June 18, 2016

Chris_B Saturday, June 18, 2016

What's so wrong with Block B's fandom name? It is cool.

lin1 Chris_B Saturday, June 18, 2016

BBC is a Tv Broacaster in the Uk, Stands for British Broadcasting Corporation.

shannnnt lin1 Sunday, June 19, 2016

Yes but it has a nice ring to it. Most acronyms stand for a bunch of different things in different countries anyway.

Variable Chris_B Sunday, June 19, 2016

I agree. I think the writer's being a little sensitive about that one. Especially since that acronym actually makes sense.
