On the June 30 episode of tvN's 'Father and I,' Eric Nam and his father give their honest inner thoughts after wrapping up their vacation in Prague.

In an interview with the production company, his father said, "I was strict because he was the first child. When I saw him bickering with the other children, the first child always got in trouble no matter what. I was poor [at being a father] because I never learned how to be a father. I'm very sorry."
Seeing this video, Eric Nam said, "Because he raised me like that, I exist as I am now," showing admiration and understanding toward his father. He continued, "I love and respect you. Even if I were to be born again, I would like to be my father's son."
