On the first episode of KBS 2TV's 'Come On Show' on May 6, the question of whether Kim Jong Kook is more popular than Song Joong Ki in China was brought up.
The topic of popularity in China was brought up. Kim Jong Kook first said, "My parents had foresight. The name Kim Jong Kook is pronounced as Kim Joong Kook (Kim China) in China. That's why I'm doing well in China, is it not?"

Song So Hee said to him, "I didn't know you were doing well there," causing laughter. Then the production crew asked him, "Are you doing better than Song Joong Ki?" to which Kim Jong Kook yelled, "Are you crazy? Our Joong Ki can't be touched," causing more laughter.
