Baek Ah Yeon was asked a tricky question on the May 25 airing of 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope' which caught her a bit off guard.

DJ Kim Shin Young asked her, "Is there a label that you want to move to when you look at fellow artists?

A flustered Baek Ah Yeon replied, "I'll pass." However, Kim Shin Young didn't let up, probing her, "Does that mean you've thought about it before?

After a moment's hesitation Baek Ah Yeon answered wittily, "Manager oppa. Can you go out for a second?

I really hate when they get asked these terrible questions. They put them in a really bad situation and everyone will scrutinize them for how they answer. There is no right answer. Stop asking them such sucky questions trying to start drama!!

She was probably thinking of this when there was the limbo time between Kpop Star and her debut. Plus she didn't get much fame until Shouldn't Have last year.

She probably had thought about going to other companies (just like 2pm honestly think they can't live with JYP forever) but Park Jinyoung loves Ahyeon since Kpop Star, he would have convinced her to stay in every way possible.

JYP stayed with BAEK AH YEON through a bit of a 'slow start' on her part. Now, BAY has her 'core fans' and JYP is pleased too. DIFFICULT to think that BAY would want to leave JYP just now. Things *seem* to be going pretty well for her.

Did 2PM ever mentioned they actually had that thought?

At least Jun.K and Taecyeon have implied it. Jun.K talked about his future and he said he will remain making music but he is open towards anything in the future and imply that he may or may not resign because the condition is yet to be determined. Taecyeon on the other hand with his worst case scenario self, thought after he enlist he'd be gone from the industry for sure as people won't remember him. They have the arsenal being 2PM thus it is up to JYP to prepare a contract that would make them stay.

2PM and JYPe Agency seems a similar situation to SE7EN and YGe Agency. YGe Agency apparently made some kind of offer to SE7EN to represent him AFTER he finished S.K. MILITARY Service. But SE7EN did choose to NOT accept the YGe Agency offer. Which, my *guess* is that SE7EN felt that YGe Agency was a *lot* more interested in their YOUNGER AGE IDOLS than HIM (as 'Yesterday's News' mostly). I think 2PM might be in that same situation with JYPe Agency a couple years from now. If I was 2PM, I would want an AGENCY that consider *2PM* as their PRIME concern. Which, 2 years from now, I *doubt* that JYPe Agency will feel that way about 2PM Group (my guess).

Having said that, *another* possibility is that JYPe Agency wants to make 2PM into a 'Poor Fangirl's SHINHWA" Group. I just *doubt* it though. When the IDOL BODY does 'cool too much' then JYPe Agency does 'send it to the morgue' for final processing. Which I would argue is what ALL of the Big 4 (JYPe ; YGe ; SMe ; FNCe) Agencies do.

Uhh I don't think we can compare to Se7en since he is not the main moneymaker when he was signed. Plus he left because he wanted to finish his US promotions. 2PM is very valuable to JYPE. 2PM's main arena is in Japan. Even if Got7 promotes in Japan, they are not as big as 2PM. Even after enlisting, 2PM is very valuable for their popularity in Japan. Which is why unless JYPE provide a good enough contract, they will stay. Any company signing them will probably have them ship to Japan again and JYP can say bye to that buck loads of money.

I see... I think because AKP doesn't cover their activities in Japan, people tend to think that they're being idle now, but they're actually active in Japan. I dunno why JYPE doesn't want to bring them back here though... it's been so long. I'm kinda worried that Junho, Chansung, and Taecyeon might leave JYPE to focus on acting... yeah I hope JYPE can offer them a good contract. It'll be sad to see them leave...

@hana_sakura <-- You *both* did make *good* points with your arguments!

JYP Actors is pretty good in managing their actors tho. Yoon Park, Choi Woo Sik and other actor expresses satisfaction with JYP Actors thus those 2PM trio has a larger chance to stay actually. Plus with JYP Pictures gearing for bigger production, JYP actors totally have the upperhand in that. I don't think JYPE doesn't want to take 2PM back to Korea but rather 2PM themselves focus heavily in Japan for various reason. In Jun.K's latest interview he talked about the difference in Japan and Korea's music industry and Japan is heavy on performance and touring while Korea is heavy on broadcasting and variety. For a group like 2PM, they actually prefer performing and touring. The stage is 2PM's best arena and in Japan they need not to worry about promoting on broadcast, they are asked to do what their job entitle them to do, singing. Somehow I get why they liked it there. But I also think JYPE liked 2pm in Japan very much too. Jun.K, Junho and Wooyoung's solo merit their own big percentage in JYPE's 2015 profit.
