She had been getting continuous criticism of her always getting physical with men on broadcast. Men and women alike pointed out that if it was a man doing the same to a woman, they'd probably be prosecuted. However, the criticism drew a lot more fire after her appearance on '1 Night 2 Days' as a special guest for the past three weeks, where she pushed herself overly onto the PD of the show. Some pointed out that she used her weight as an advantage, because male celebrities were less likely to avoid her lest they be labeled as someone who hated overweight women.

Lee Kuk Ju said, "I apologize to everyone who was offended. I overdid it just thinking that I would be funny, and I'll be more and more careful from now on. I'll be more, more, more attentive, more, more, more careful, and I'll work harder."
