G-Friend appeared on MBC FM4U's 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope' on February 4, where they talked about their group name.

Leader Sowon stated, "G-Friend's group name was chosen by the CEO. �At first, we thought it wasn't great. �When we were trainees, there was nothing to do, so we would jokingly go around saying, 'Hello, We're G-Friend,' which got stuck, so I think it grew on us."

On top of that, she talked about her life as a trainee, stating, "I trained for the longest time. I did it for five years, and it was hard. �It's horrendous to think about. �However, I could go back to that. �It was horrible before debut, but after debut, I think I could go back to it."
