Ryu Joon Yeol may have shot up in fame for his role in the explosively popular 'Reply 1988' series, but fame wasn't actually what the actor had sought initially.
On the February 2 broadcast of 'Taxi,' it was revealed that Ryu Joon Yeol originally wanted to enter the teaching profession. The actor explained, "I actually wanted to be a teacher. I liked students and also because there were teachers who were good to me. But I don't think the job was [right] for me."

Ryu Joon Yeol also answered some questions on relationships and dating. He said, "Like Jung Hwan, I have tsundere-like (cold) persona but I also have an affectionate side like Sun Woo," revealing a bit about his dating style.
The actor further relayed, "I haven't had a girlfriend before starring in 'Reply 1988.' I didn't have a girlfriend for over six months. When I asked my mother, 'What do you think of a woman like Duk Seon?' she said she was fine with that."
