The major accident that actor Kim Hye Sung was involved in last Chuseok, which resulted in great trauma for him and others, was investigated and revealed to have been caused by illegal racing.

Last September around Chuseok, Kim Hye Sung had been struck by a speeding vehicle while he was resting inside a vehicle in a parking lot. Just today, months after the accident, Gyeonggi Police revealed on its official Facebook that the car accident was caused by illegal racing.
A rep from Kim Hye Sung's agency told OSEN via phone call on Tuesday, "Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency's investigations revealed that the major accident involving Kim Hye Sung and staff members occurred due to illegal racing. It was a major accident. Some people even said that it was a relief that they survived. The actor and staff members are still going to the hospital and suffering from trauma.We hope that an incident like this never occurs again."
