Crown J addresses the banning of his new song

Crown J

Crown J, who returned to the music scene with "Made It," addressed the issues of using brand name products and expletives in his new song.

"Made It" was apparently banned from broadcast for containing words that sounded like product placements including a clothing brand and champagne brands. Crown J explained, "It's true that I run a clothing brand business called 'LOLO' but no matter where you look, my song doesn't contain the word 'LOLO.' They also took issue with my usage of the word 'moet' but I simply used a popular street term in place of the word 'champagne' and it has nothing to do with a specific champagne brand."

The rapper added, "There are no expletives whatsoever in my song and I don't know what the standards for slang usage are. The songs I previously released were dropped as both a dirty version and a clean version but because I wanted everyone to listen to this song without any problems, I had edited the lyrics in their entirety to be a clean version. I wanted to use an interesting expression that matched my music so I wrote lyrics comparing hip hop to women, but if they think that it's vulgar, then I have nothing to say."
