A 25-year-old man identified as 'A' was reported to have received a severe sentence for the sexual assault of his underage, 14-year-old female distant relative.

This past October 17, the�Incheon District Court announced that they sentenced 'A' to seven years in prison for violation of the laws related to sexual abuse. The courts have further ordered 'A' to complete 160 hours of sexual violence therapy program and for him to wear a tracking device for ten years.�

'A' was indicted on charges of sexually abusing his 14-year-old distant relative, 'B', on the rooftop of his home this past June 21.�

'A' committed the deed after having 'B' consume a drink containing�Zolpidem and a sexual stimulant. Police investigations found that 'A' was also booked last December under suspicions of touching an 8-year-old girl on the staircase of an apartment complex located in Incheon's Namdong District.�

The court ruled, "The defendant committed a crime again despite his history of receiving a fine for sexual misdemeanor back in 2012. The victims appear to have suffered significant psychological shock. He hasn't earned forgiveness from the victims, and we took into account the entreaty for 'A' to receive severe punishment." �
