Pop normally dominates the Korean music scene, but among other genres, EDM is slowly inching its way into the mainstream. And with this new show coming onto TV, K-pop stars and EDM are coming together!
There's an upcoming variety show called 'Mash Up' with a star-studded line-up!
SBS MTV stated, "Seo In Young, Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon, MBLAQ's Mir, and AOA's Hyejeong will take part in 'Mash Up' and put their pride on the line by competing with each other in DJ-ing."
They added, "The person to host the show is an Untouchable's Sleepy."
The show is about raising up the K-pop stars into global, EDM artists who excel at DJ-ing and performance with the help of the country's top DJs, performances teams, and composing teams.
The first episode airs on SBS MTV on September 21 at 11pm KST!
