CNBLUE's Jonghyun was definitely surprised by the sudden meeting with Gong Seung Yeon's dad last week, but his father-in-law had more surprises in store on the May 16 episode of 'We Got Married'.
Jonghyun wasn't able to stop his praises for Gong Seung Yeon even in front of her dad, and the CNBLUE member went on and on about how beautiful his onscreen wife is. Referring to past episodes of 'We Got Married', Mr. Gong commented on how Jonghyun had a hard time holding his daughter's hand. Jonghyun responded, "I hold her hand easily now," showing more confidence.
Mr. Gong suddenly shocked the couple by asking, "You had a hard time holding her hand. Did you kiss her yet? I'm curious whether you two have kissed yet." Gong Seung Yeon said during her solo interview, "My dad is usually very conservative, so I was surprised he said that. I guess my dad liked Jonghyun," while Jonghyun stated, "After hearing what my father-in-law had to say, I'll be more forward in the future."
