Park Myung Soo criticized by car owner for damaging his car and not apologizing on 'Infinity Challenge'

Currently, comedian and MC Park Myung Soo is in a controversy over his behavior during the speed racing portion of variety program, 'Infinity Challenge.'

The owner of a car, A, wrote out his complaint towards Park Myung Soo, who seemed to have used his car during the recording.  He wrote on his own blog under the title, "The story behind the MBC variety program 'Infinity Challenge' speed racing, I detest Park Myung Soo."

He said, "I lent a car to 'Infinity Challenge' three times, and the car that got into a big accident during the run at Inje Speedium was actually my car.  During the first mock race, I thought they would apologize.  However, it was hard to understand Park Myung Soo's behavior on this day.  He didn't even try to see me and even after the cameras stopped rolling, he didn't come to personally make an apology.

To tell the truth, Park Myung Soo might have thought he had used and destroyed a prop vehicle during filming.  There's a saying that one word could repay a debt of 1,000 nyangs (unit of Old Korean coins). All that happened was he said, 'I-I'm sorry,' after people pushed him into it while the cameras were rolling.  Afterwards, I naturally kept changing the channel whenever I saw Park Myung Soo on a TV program.  Now I feel burdened and frustrated just seeing him."

However, A also revealed he had been compensated 3 million won (~ $3,000 USD).  His car took two months to get repaired (lowering the value after the accident) and he had to rent a car for the two months it was in the shop.

In response, car racer Oh Il Gi, who was on the show as the mentor, criticized this post, saying on his Facebook on October 31, "What kind of content is this to receive interest? An article like this right now when the season is wrapping up... How ridiculous.  Park Myung Soo did not borrow the car and of course there could be a car accident when you're dealing with motor sports--even an ordinary rental car could experience an accident while driving much less a racing car." He also stated it was an incident that occurred during a beginner racer's circuit driving for reduction of time laps and somebody in the middle should take responsibility and talk with the car owner.
