A report has been circulating that Kim Hyun Joongis planning to enlist next year having requested a postponement on his enlistment date for mandatory military service.Key East Entertainment confirmed that this is true, but also explained that his request for the postponement had been put in before his alleged assault case came to light.
A Key East Entertainment rep stated, "[Kim Hyun Joong] received his [military] draft notice for October 7, but he applied for a postponement due to his overseas tour schedule... This is irrelevant to his assault case because he applied for a postponement prior to it happening, and the decision [regarding the postponement] hasn't come out yet."
If his request is approved, then Kim Hyun Joong's new enlistment date is expected to be set for sometime next year.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong returned to Korea after wrapping up his concert in Bangkok, Thailand. He is set to besummoned for investigation for his assault case early next week. He is also planning to carry out the rest of his tour schedule without changes.
