SBS stated on the 31st, "'K-Pop Star 4' is currently in the works... We worked to show a new theme and stories for each seasons until now and this season is also set to have a different flavor."
'K-Pop Star 4' will open its first round of preliminary auditions and will go on its long search for the next 'K-Pop Star' with its finale to air next April.
In Korea, preliminaries will be held in Gwangju on August 16, Busan on August 23, Seoul on August 30-31, Daegu on September 13, and Seoul on September 20.
'K-Pop Star 4' will also hold its overseas preliminary auditions in the U.S., Europe, Oceania, other parts of Asia starting late July.
Applications will be accepted starting from June 1 through September 19. The first broadcast is set to air mid-November.
