YG Entertainment revealed to My Daily that Akdong Musician donated the entire cash prize of 300 million won (~ $300,000 USD) that they won from SBS's audition program 'K-Pop Star 2.'

The agency rep said on May 12, "Akdong Musician donated all of the 300 million won (~ $300,000 USD) they won in 'K-Pop Star 2.' �We had not known where they had used the prize money, but they recently surprised us by telling us they donated it.

I do not know the exact details about how much they gave to what place, but they told us that after they consulted their parents, they gave the entire 300 million won (~ $300,000 USD) to places of need."

The rep revealed that the cash prize of 300 million won (~ $300,000 USD) included a hit of 100 million won (~ $100,000 USD) for production costs as well as taxes, but they did not exclude those amounts and donated it in its entirety, showing that the two siblings had hearts of gold!
