Ailee talked about why she didn't want to be called rivals with Hyorin!
On the 4th's episode of KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Song', MC Shin Dong Yup asked her, "How do you feel about being called rivals [with Hyorin]?"

She answered, "It doesn't feel that good. Hyorin is a close dongseng, so I'm embarrassed to be called rivals with her." Hyorin also added, "I was close with Ailee unni even before she had an album because we filmed a drama together."
When asked to choose between friendship and winning, both chose friendship. But Ailee added jokingly, "I chose a calm stage because friendship was more important, but Hyorin seems like she really wants to win because she did all these things like dancing."
