BLACKPINK's hairstylist has revealed that Rosé bleaches her hair every two weeks.
On an online forum, netizens discussed and reacted to a recent interview with BLACKPINK's hairstylist ChaCha (Cha Jong Hyun), who is in charge of hair styling for BLACKPINK, Sunmi, i-dle, and more.
Citing Rosé’s blonde hair as one of his signature works, ChaCha shared that he has been bleaching Rosé's roots every other week for the past seven years.
"Rosé has maintained her blonde hair for about seven years. She dyes it once every two weeks. I felt like it might be too often, so I told her, 'Rosé, for the health of your hair and scalp, how about we take a little more time between sessions?' But Rosé said, 'Rather than the health of my hair and scalp, what matters more to me is how I appear to the public,'" he said.
The stylist added that whenever it is time for a touch up and Rosé happens to be overseas, he flies out to her location, whether it is Paris or the U.S., to keep up the routine.
"Two weeks have passed, and Rosé is in the United States or Paris. What do I do? There is no choice but to go. I take a same day business trip," he explained. "For places like Los Angeles or San Francisco on the U.S. West Coast, I arrive in the morning, reach Rosé’s hotel by noon, have lunch, and then proceed with the bleaching and dyeing. It usually takes about three to four hours. After finishing, I return to my hotel to shower, and by 7 p.m., I head back to the airport."
"It takes 12 hours to fly to Los Angeles, but I stay in the United States for less than 12 hours. It is exhausting. It takes 14 hours to get to Paris. I even developed issues with my pelvis and tailbone," candidly describing the physical toll of his frequent same day overseas trips.
He continued, "So I told her, 'I think business trips might be a bit difficult.' Thankfully, she booked me a business class ticket, all for a one day schedule. That is her level. Just because someone is wealthy does not mean they would automatically book business class. It shows how much she cares about me. That made me work even harder."
In a warm tone, the stylist once wrote on Instagram: "Where to next?? My work trip this time was fun once again. The return home is always exhausting, but let's go everywhere around the world~~."
Seeing this, netizens expressed their amazement that Rosé has maintained such a demanding routine for seven consecutive years, especially with something as taxing as bleaching her roots so frequently.
Meanwhile, ChaCha also revealed that Jennie once told him she would "call the police" if her hair became damaged or had to be cut due to bleach.
