Netflix Korea released a special video on March 1 to commemorate the March 1st Movement, featuring the message: “Because of them, we live in today’s spring.”
The video included scenes from five works, including the Netflix series 'Gyeongseong Creature Season 2' and films 'Assassination,' 'Song of the Bandits,' 'Harbin,' and 'A Resistance.' It highlighted moments where characters shouted “Long live Korean independence!,” reflecting the spirit of the historic day.
Among the clips, a scene from Assassination drew particular attention. The segment shows characters Chu Sang Ok (Cho Jin Woong), An Ok Yun (Jun Ji Hyun), and Hwang Dok Sam (Choi Deok Moon) taking a commemorative photo in front of the national flag.
However, the final edit only included Jun Ji Hyun and Choi Deok Moon, with Cho Jin Woong appearing only partially at the edge of the frame. Cho Jin Woong had announced his retirement and suspended all activities last year following controversies regarding his juvenile criminal record.
