Kim Jae Won is the proud father of a baby boy

After revealing in June that he was to marry his three-month pregnant girlfriend, Kim Jae Won has now become the proud father of a healthy baby boy!

Always protective of and secretive about his family, Kim Jae Won did not disclose the information about his son's birth at first.  A rep from his agency stated, "Even the agency did not know about the birth.  He just told us that his son was born a little while ago . . . We think he wishes not to expose his family to the media because of how much he cherishes them.  The mother and child are healthy.  The mother is currently in postpartum care."

In related news, Kim Jae Won had received the Male Best Excellence award at the 2013 MBC Drama Awards on December 30 where he said he will even be appearing on variety programs starting in 2014.  The very variety program he is referring to is MBC's new one called '4 Men 1 Woman,' which will start airing on January 3.
