tvN to have second backpacking program 'Noonas Over Flowers' also featuring Lee Seung Gi

Cable channel tvN had started a project in which the cast of a variety program would go on backpacking trips.  They already started the program 'Grandpas Over Flowers,' but now they revealed that the second show in this project would be called 'Noonas Over Flowers.' For those who do not know, "noona" is a phrase that men use to address older women.

A tvN rep revealed on the 30th, "It has been decided that our backpacking project, which already includes 'Grandpas Over Flowers,' will start a second program called 'Noonas Over Flowers.'"

Producer Na Young Suk, who will be directing this new show, said, "The women, who will introduce themselves through preliminary recordings and interviews, are all of different ages, but they share the same large curiosity and innocent cuteness . . . We chose this title because we believed the friendly vibe of a 'noona' suited them more so than that of a mother or grandmother."

Netizens agreed, saying that the title made sense and expressing anticipation and excitement for the new show.

The "noonas" on the show will be Yoon Yeo Jung, Kim Ja Oak, Kim Hee Ae, Lee Mi Yeon, and their porter Lee Seung Gi, who already appeared in 'Grandpas Over Flowers.'  On the 31st, they will be leaving for Croatia and the show will air near the end of November.
