The 'twerking idols' Wassup had their debut stage on the August 7 episode of MBC Music 'Show Champion', and the girls explained why they chose to debut on a cable show.

Their clothes were banned from the three major terrestrial stations (KBS, SBS, MBC), who deemed their outfits problematic because their shorts and skirts were too short. The girls explained, "The outfits didn't pass the regulations on the major stations because they were too sexual. But since it was our first stage going to the public, we decided to put on our color and genre perfectly on a cable show, where free expression is more allowed."

They added, "It could be a little shocking, but we can put on a unique debut stage. We'll be completely different from a basic girl group and let Wassup's own color known. You can look forward to it."

No offense but their twerking video looked like they were shooting porn. ;

Ok, frist of all I feel like the twerk thing is not even there. They try to do it, but they don't, so personally I'm not even as bothered anymore. They do focus a lot on their butt and stuff but it's not as noticeable and unelegant as in the MV. Maybe due their lack of energy... ;

Regarding the song, I don't hate it as much as I did at first. I wouldn't have it in my iPod but it doesn't make my ears bleed and it's pretty catchy. The performance was good, talking about the voices, I was expecting something really bad. ;

And most importantly about their outfits... was Sistar and other Girl groups also banned? Because I've seen many groups with clothes as short and tight and I have not heard of them being banned. Maybe Wassup just has a bad reputation ;

Wtf, i hate the twerk concept. It's like promoting girls to dance for sex appeal. The song and dance isn't that catchy, it's competitive with so many new idols they need a betterrrr song

I like it but the performance was low energy they could have have it more

Hate the concept not the girls people... They seem pretty adorable to me, and at least they seem to enjoy being up on stage. I hope they get a better song writer/concept when they have their comeback!! Here's to hoping! Wassup Fighting!!

Wassup? More like Ass up.

They call this "twerking"? I call this a seizure.

i understand that they're trying to "be different, express themselves and not be a typical girl group", but they're doing it the wrong way. for one, the song is not that good and the music video doesn't make up for it. the choreo is not to my liking either. if they wanted to be different, they should of found another way to do so. ;

i wont hate on them, but i really don't like them. ;

They don't seem unique to be honest. They just seem like ghetto wannabes...just saying

cushionshogun Thursday, August 8, 2013

It's true that they aren't that unique compared to other groups, but ghetto wannabes? Ya know that their agency decides the concept right?

kpopfanalltheway Thursday, August 8, 2013

@cushionshogun i do know that

kpopfanalltheway Thursday, August 8, 2013

@cushionshogun I never said that they wanted to look this way
