MONSTA X fueled excitement for their comeback with appearances on two well-known Los Angeles morning news programs.
While visiting the U.S. to perform at KCON LA 2025, the group was featured on CBS Los Angeles’s KCAL News and KTLA 5 Morning News, where they spoke about their long-awaited group return to KCON and their upcoming album.
On the July 31 (local time) broadcast of KCAL News, MONSTA X shared their feelings about returning to the KCON stage as a group for the first time in nine years. “It’s very emotional to be back at KCON after all this time,” they said. They also mentioned that while I.M could not join them due to health reasons, he is recovering and sent his encouragement.

The group also discussed their digital album 'NOW PROJECT vol.1', which was released on May 14 to mark their 10th debut anniversary. “This album, featuring Shownu’s vocals, was a meaningful way to let fans know that the full group was coming back together,” they explained. “We’ll be releasing another exciting album on September 1, so please look forward to it.”
The next day, on August 1 (local time), MONSTA X appeared on KTLA 5 Morning News to talk about their upcoming mini album 'THE X'. “This album not only reflects on our ten-year journey, but also signals a new beginning,” they shared. “It has a refreshing style, and we’re curious how fans will respond.”

Earlier this summer, the group held their 10th anniversary concert ‘2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X’ at Seoul’s KSPO DOME for three consecutive days, showcasing their continued popularity. Now, they are set to take the stage at KCON LA 2025 on August 2 (local time), marking another milestone in their global career.
With 'THE X' scheduled to release on September 1, MONSTA X is currently in the final stages of preparation for their next chapter.
