Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon will soon officially become a married couple as they will exchange their vows in front of both families at their cottage in Jeju Island. In front of both of their respective families, the couple will formally express their relationship. However, as they have stated previously, the couple will not have a formal ceremony for their wedding. 

On the 29th, Lee Sang Soon's father, Lee Moon Yoon, explained through a phone interview with media outlet Edaily, "They told me that they would be leaving for Jeju on the 31st and that they would be holding a formal housewarming for both families." 

When discussing the plans for her wedding ceremony Lee Hyori has continuously mentioned, "From the beginning we never planned to have your typical, extravagent wedding ceremony. Instead we planned to have an intimate ceremony with just our closest family and friends." As a result on the 31st, the couple decided to hold their intimate wedding ceremony as planned.

Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon met as colleagues in 2008 through Jung Jae Hyung, a mutual friend. Their relationship developed into a more intimate one in 2011 when they both participated in various animal rights activities. In November 2011, the couple formally announced their relationship and in July 2013, they confirmed their plans to get married.
