The battle against chart manipulation is now even stronger.

If the team of SM Entertainment-YG Entertainment-JYP Entertainment-Star Empire wasn't strong enough, now they've been joined by Cube Entertainment and FNC Entertainment.

Cube Entertainment explained, "We are together with SM, YG, JYP, and Star Empire on the problem that chart manipulation creates an illness in the music industry. With this, we hope that the music industry will become a proper market."

FNC Entertainment also said, "With this, we hope that the chart manipulation becomes cleared. We hope to create a healthy music market through fair competition."

Previously, SM, YG, JYP, and Star Empire had come together to point out the problems that have been on the rise with agencies manipulating the charts by raising the number associated with how many times the song has been played or downloaded. Once they are able to raise that amount to the point that the song ranks towards the top of music charts, the song is easily able to gain more attention. This also means more royalties, as well as a chance for these songs to rise to the top 10 of various music broadcast programs and thus, gaining further exposure.

Due to results like these, there has also been a rise in companies that offer services and products that can help with raising these numbers and manipulating charts.

YOU, yes you. Stop it. The issue is about the companies manipulating charts. Whether the companies we are all talking about here are guilty or not, why do you comment on the artists they house? Were they fame-hystrionics that they desperately and personally do all these things? Come one, be sane. Why do you have to drag the groups down? ;

And, do you really have to downgrade their music they produce?

(Probably yes or not) Just to satisfy your trolling and your esteem on your own bias group? It is disgusting, stop it. This is about the companies manipulating charts, remember this.

please don't accuse anyone with no solid evidence guys. common it isn't sistar. they may have like more awards than 2ne1 or something but it's also the timing. 2ne1 promoted during big acts like f(x), ailee, infinite etc. it's also promotion timing.

and no hate on 2ne1! i love those girls. just using an example

Whether, Cube is guilty or not, I do think they are doing this to come off clean as their name was being brought up a lot. ;

I am convinced that Cube is playing a mind game with us. I am certain they are manipulating Apink's NoNoNo yet they are joining this so that they seem innocent. ;

Actually I think no no no is popular because it's addictive the song is doing better then the album.. it the song it's pretty popular in korea at the moment actually so you really have no evidence. .

you are not certain because No No No is popular, you're just saying that because No No No did better then 2ne1 in the weekly charts but truth is Falling in Love wasn't one of 2ne1's best but No No No is one of APink's best. Plus it's not like Apink doesn't have a big fanbase.. they do actually :)

I don't think its the 3 big companies cuz if they're involved then they filed a case regarding this years ago. Kpop is growing and many companies are opening and joining music business because of kpop explosion in music industry. But its hard to pinpoint on any company until there is evidence. Even citizens of Korea are bothered because there are many idols coming out.

I see you Cube what you are doing. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer...

Great news. I'm pretty sure it will always be there to some extent, but hopefully with the biggest companies teaming up and 'curing' the chart, more lesser known talent will get their chance.

Those sistar fans who repeatedly bashed 2ne1 articles boasting their chart success makes sense now. Sistar's company is cheating! 2NE1 is still superior to sistar!

Feodore_Knox Thursday, August 8, 2013

If that is true, how come Boyfriend, who is also from the same company as Sistar, isn't garnering the same level of attention and success as Sistar? C'mon...2NE1?! They'll always be inferior to Hyorin...
