'Music Core' to air live in theaters across Japan

Starting from the May 4th broadcast of MBC's 'Music Core', MBC Japan will air the program live in theaters across Japan.

This will be the first time that a program that is airs regularly in Korea will be broadcast live in a theater abroad. K-pop fans in the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Yokohama, and 3 other big cities will be able to enjoy 'Show! Music Core' in real time on the big screen.

The president of MBC Japan, Kim Suk Chan shared, "At the end of last year, we aired the 'Gayo Daejaejun' in about 20 theaters in Japan as a test and reached 90% in market share. By airing K-pop live in international theaters we hope to see hallyu life become more global. We hope to expand on this and not just air music programs but other various contents as well."
