Two actresses have been or will be summoned for propofol abuse.
Actress Jang Mi In Ae was summoned for investigation on propofol abuse on the 23rd, and actress Lee Seung Yeon will also be summoned within the week to go under investigation. The Seoul Central Prosecutor's Office has statements and evidence that 3-4 female celebrities, including Jang Mi In Ae and Lee Seung Yeon, had been abusing propofol.
The investigation had been underway since almost 2 weeks ago, and Jang Mi In Ae was asked when she started to habitually administer propofol and if she had administered it without an actual procedure. The prosecutors had seized and searched 7 different hospitals in Gangnam in order to obtain a list of names of those who abused propofol and those who a ledger of those who administered it.
Hospital doctors and nurses were also called to testify. Through the testimonies, the prosecutors found that Jang Mi In Ae and Lee Seung Yeon had administered propofol without getting surgery. It was allegedly confirmed that Jang Mi In Ae and others administered propofol at 2-3 different hospitals.
So far, representatives of the two have denied the accusations.
