Actress Goo Hye Sun has taken legal action against a netizen who spread groundless rumors about the star.
On the 28th, Goo Hye Sun tweeted, "If you spread groundless rumors, you can be punished," and attached a capture of the rumor in question.
The rumor the actress was referring to stated: "Goo Hye Sun shot a movie in the past, and apparently, she thought that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was the same person as Mary Magdalene, the prostitute."
It seems Goo Hye Sun was somewhat offended by the netizen's account of her supposed ignorance as she responded, "I have already taken legal action against those who created these baseless rumors and lies. If you search for it now, you will find the same line as shown in the picture. Any further [rumors] uncovered may also be punished."
Currently, the tweet has been deleted under a legal block and cannot be seen by public viewers.
