MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Arang and the Magistrate' has kicked off to a great start, grabbing the second in ratings out of all the dramas in its time slot.
According to AGB Nielson Media Report, the pilot episodes of the drama, recorded a 13.3% and 13.2% on August 15th and 16th respectively, for viewer ratings nationwide.
Its rival dramas include KBS's 'Bridal Mask', which scored a 19.4% and 19.7% in ratings and SBS's 'To the Beautiful You' which drew in a rating of 7.3% and 5.7%.
'Arang and the Magistrate' is a story about the meeting of a ghost (played by Shin Min Ah), who wants her unfair death to be recognized, and a ghost-seeing Magistrate Eun Oh (played by Lee Jun Ki).
In related news, Shin Min Ah made a pledge to wear a traditional Korean hanbok and dance to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" if viewer ratings surpasses 15%.
