Music Therapy: Party It Up!

School is officially out, and the weather is getting steamier by the day. It's easy to see new photos of friends partying and enjoying their summer on Facebook, then thinking to yourself, 'Wow, I need to be there!' But good parties are hard to come by and sometimes you just don't want to get out of your cool, air-conditioned room. For the newest edition of 'Music Therapy', allkpop gives you an alternative way to get into the party mood without even setting a foot out your door!

Get ready for a heavy dosage of adrenaline into your system this summer as we present you a few of the best party songs of K-pop. With strong electronic beats that you can fist pump to, addictive chorus lines that you & your friends can sing along with, and addictive choreography you can polish your dance skills for, these tracks will make you want to get off your chair to rock with the beats.

======

- Part 1: Get Up and Dance -

Brown Eyed Girls'"Abracadabra": If you have yet to hear this song, then you're undeniably missing out on the one of the best dance revolutions of all in k-pop history. The Brown Eyed Girls made a change from their regular R&B and ballad songs to some heavy electronic instrumentals, auto-tuned vocals, with solid, chic, choreography back in 2008 that had the nation hooked. And the best part is that the dance is relatively easy: just cross your arms and shake your hips from left to right, right along to the beats of the song with a seductive expression on your face, and sing along:

I'm gonna go crazy I used to be a fragile, kind person
I'm going nuts because of you, I'm turning spiteful

Put a magic spell on me

Additional Recommendation:

2PM- "Hands Up"

JJ Project- "Bounce"

- Part 2: Back to the Past -

T-ara's "Lovey Dovey": In the mood for a theme party? Parties get outdated and old rather quickly unless you spice it up with a special concept. The girls of T-ara stood at the front-line as Korea finally entered the "shuffle-era". Going back to the 80s, "Lovey Dovey" can be dubbbed as Korea's contemporary version of "Funky Town". Enjoy your time with T-ara's version of the shuffle!
Now I'm lovey dovey dovey (oh oh oh oh)
Don't leave me alone anymore
Now it's lovey dovey dovey (oh oh oh oh)
Where are you now (oh)
Now it's lovey dovey dovey (oh oh oh oh)
I'm going to find you
where are you the one who will finally unfreeze me

Additional Recommendation:

Kara- "Step"

DJ DOC- "Dance with DOC"

- Part 3: Turn up the Bass -

Block B's "Nanrina": Released back in February of 2012, "Nanrina" is the song you hate to love. The lyrics, just like many party songs, are cocky and without much content. And on top of that, the screechy electronic beats might possibly make your ears bleed at some point. But it's the song you cannot stay away from. The more you listen to it, the deeper your addiction grows. Not to mention the "gorilla dance" had everyone screaming, "nanrina", which means 'going crazy' in Korean.
You're going crazy irritated come follow me baby
Everything is perfect about me (goo goo ga ga goo goo ga ga)
Just look at me lady, you're gonna go crazy
Theres shouting everywhere
from everyone's mouths

Additional Recommendation:

Super Junior- "Bonamana"

Big Bang- "Fantastic Baby"
