Chinese singer Wei Chen to make an appearance at Mnet's "20's Choice" Awards

With Mnet's "20's Choice" Awards taking place at Seoul's Sheraton Walker Hotel later tonight (July 7th), Mnet recently made a surprise announcement that Chinese singer Wei Chen will be making a guest appearance on the show. A broadcast representative stated, "With '20's Choice' broadcasting in a total of 13 countries such as the US, Japan, and Thailand, we have invited top star Wei Chen in order to give it the feeling of a more global award show." In regards to his invitation, Wei Chen expressed, "I consider it a honor to be able to be a part of a Korea-representing awards show with so many Hallyu stars. As much as the awards show represents the culture of young adults, I'm looking forward to interacting closer with the culture of Korean youth." Wei Chen is well known in China for placing in the top three of the nationally televised singing competition, "Super Boy", back in 2007. The singer then went on to play one one of the leading roles in the 2009 TV series, "Let's Go Watch the Meteor Shower".
