Actress Hwang Jung Eum won the Best Newcomer Award at the 46th Baeksang Awards ceremony. During her speech, she thanked the staff of High Kick Through the Roof, her family and more but she left out her boyfriend Kim Yong Joon. She explained why at Section TV Entertainment News, "Kim Yong Joon never thanked me when he won with SG Wannabe. So there was no need for me to thank him." She explained that it was her way of revenge. She also denied the rumors about them breaking up because that was most certainly not the reason why she didn't thank him. During the interview, she explained that High Kick Through the Roof was the best thing that has happened to her in her career. She's really thankful that she had the chance to participate in the production. She also is happy that High Kick Through the Roof had a sad ending and not a clich� happy ending.
