Producer, songwriter, CEO, and the mastermind behind the hit K-Pop groups 2PM, 2AM and the Wonder Girls, Park Jin Young (JYP) speaks out about his recent comeback and his return to the limelight. On December 1st, JYP revealed his comeback album "Sad Freedom" after wrapping up a successful U.S. debut for the Wonder Girls and the production of 2PM's first album. On the 2nd of December JYP posted a message with the title, "Greetings, everyone. This is singer Park Jin Young." via his homepage. The message read:
"I am able to stand back in the media because one of my goals as a producer was accomplished. When January comes around I'll have to return to my producing duties but because I am able to perform right now I'm very happy."Feelings of sorrow were expressed for not being able to offer more to the fans as he said:
"Unfortunately, I was not able to introduce more new tracks but these tracks are very special to me. These songs revolve around events from last winter and also many things I have experienced. And because there is so much personal attachment to the songs and because this idea has been in my head for so long, the music, choreography, music video, and the fashion has been well prepared for everyone."The title track of the new album, No Love No More, is about no longer loving so as to never give heartbreak to another person anymore and to just live life while going with the flow and enjoying the ride. Perhaps this was brought on by JYP's divorce earlier this year? JYP also spoke about his comeback performance saying, "My goal is for all the fans to be proud and to grow old together. I will put on the best performance." As an avid fan of his old work, his comeback to the stage will be a treat for myself, but do the rest of you think he's still got it? Or should he just stick to producing?
