After performing "Gee" night after night on Music Bank, Music Core, and Inkigayo, hopping around from variety show to variety show, and igniting a three-month-long "Gee Storm," you would think that SNSD would want to take a break from all the hullabaloo, right? Nope. News sources are reporting that the national nine, SNSD, are planning a comeback album sometime in the second half of 2009. A specific time has not yet been announced, but I would be surprised if the comeback date is anything other than 09/09/09. If the Chinese government felt cheesy symbolic enough to begin the Beijing Olympics on 08/08/08, why can't SM do the same with the skinny-jeans nonagon? Whenever the new album gets released, if the resulting bonanza is somehow larger than the "Gee Storm", Korea might as well dub that month "SNSD month". S♡NEs should take note, however, that with two separate promotions in a single year, Korea may suffer from SNSD gluttony and begin to tire of them - lowering marginal utility, anyone? Of course, in order to avoid this issue, SNSD could comeback with a new concept... something like... that. Yaoza. Credit to Soshified for the gif, and to CodeAnalysis for the video.
