While Big Bang is trying their hand in the Japan market, TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki is finding success in Japan without much effort. TVXQ has once again reached the number 1 spot on the Oricon Daily Chart with their latest single "Mirotic." In the past TVXQ did heavy promoting of their songs to win number 1 on the Oricon Daily and Weekly Charts. However, this time around there was almost no promoting at all because TVXQ was too busy in Korea winning number 1's on various music programs and charts. This is great news for TVXQ, I hope Big Bang can find similar success in Japan but unfortunately I don't think it's really feasible for them at the moment.
