A recent airing of SBS's 'Curious Story Y' told a curious tale indeed, of a man whose appearance is forever stuck at that of a grade school student. This man, who seemed to have swallowed the elixir of youth and stopped time at the age of five, was actually born in 1991, making him 24 years old internationally and 25 years old in Korea.
Due to a rare disease known as Osteopetrosis, an inherited disorder which hardens a person's bones to make them denser, the man never grew out of being a second grader. Though he overcame the disease, he will be 124cm and 28kg for the rest of his life.

Though the disease has prevented the man from leading a normal life, he never lost hope and even found a joy as the host of his own show on internet broadcast platform 'AfreecaTV.' Going by the moniker of 'Woni,' the man gained over 323,200 viewers on his channel as the 'grade schooler' with a sonorous voice who tells randy jokes.
Every once in a while netizens would leave mean comments, but for every mean comment, there are more people who leave messages of support, giving 'Woni' the strength needed to continue his show.
