aespa to perform at the League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 Grand Finals opening ceremony this weekend

aespa will be performing in the League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 Grand Finals opening ceremony this weekend.

On September 28, it was announced that the K-pop girl group aespa will be performing in the opening ceremony for the League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 Grand Finals, presented by ESL Mobile Challenge. There are currently eight teams remaining in the championship, where they will be competing for the prize pool of $200,000 USD and the opportunity to compete in the Wild Rift Global Tournament in November. On October 3, aespa will be kicking off the first Wild Rift SEA championship with a powerful performance.

aespa entered the music industry as 'monster rookies' and recently dominated global music charts with their hit track "Next Level." G. Justin Hulog, General Manager of Riot Games Southeast and Taiwan, stated, "Esports fans are no stranger to our music efforts either, with MNL48 opening the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Summer Super Cup earlier this June. We are now thrilled to announce aespa's showcase for the WIld Rift SEA Championship Grand Finals and we hope to continue to continue delighting fans across the region with the highest quality of entertainment".

The Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 will be broadcast live through their official Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube channels, on October 3 at 12:30 AM EST.
