According to an industry insider, JJCC will also be appearing on the 2nd male season of Mnet's 'Produce 101'.

The insider stated that the show recently carried out its first filming, and that JJCC were among the male trainees in the group. Reportedly, the boys decided to return to being trainees and appear on the show in order to let their group name be known. Both Mnet and JJCC's label, The Jackie Chan Group, have decided to remain quiet on news of JJCC's appearance.

Other male idol groups like NU'EST, HALO, KNK, and Topp Dogg's A-Tom have also decided to appear on the show. It will air toward the latter half of this year.

I actually have no problem with that (they need their promotion) but I feel like there won't be screen time for the actual trainees. It's sad because I feel like the group will be full of people who already know how it feels like to debut.

Ummm... I am going to watch just for them, but I don't know how I feel about JJCC being on the show. At least they are trying to get their name known.

the scariest thing is that the contract for the final group is 18 months long, essentially meaning some groups could go well over a year of being on hiatus because a member made it to the pd101 group. at least with the female version, only a few were in a group and the contract was shorter, whereas this seems to be purely debuted idols

i think they'll be able to re-join their group even during the contract time. didn't chaeyeon re-join DIA during IOI contract time?

yeah but it could still have an effect considering those rumoured to be going (besides knk) always have the longest breaks, this could just make them even longer - either that or they'll be completely overworked

I really hope, that JJCC won't disband... and what's about Prince Mak?? At least, they'll gain more recognition by participating in this show...

So basically all they could get for the show were lesser known boy groups who had to essentially disband and appear to et their name out their.

Well nowadays it's hard for new idols to get a name in the industry, so if this is a way they can get recognition I'm ok with it ^^

apparently Mnet can't find enough trainees to fill the spot so they turned too somehow unpopular and underrated groups! i like both Nu'est (i am stil confused about them cause they are not that unpopular(?) but Pledis is...well) and JJCC and i hope they do well!

Nu'est popularity in Korea is still no good. their promotion period is so short in korea.
