Mnet is aiming to air 'Produce 101' season 2 soon!

It's been reported that the boy version of the well-loved trainee show will start filming in March, and that they were looking for a female MC. CJ E&M (who owns Mnet) told HeraldPOP, "We're aiming to air 'Produce 101's season 2 in the first half of the year. We're going to prepare well to reflect on the high expectations. There is nothing decided formally. We're just preparing hard while aiming to aim in the first half of the year."

I hope Dani applies for this. (Yes I know it's for males, that's the joke, she's this desperate by now)

I'm only interested in seeing if they can compete with big names - BTS, EXO, etc.

I miss IOI a lot, but I'm excited to see who will be in the next Produce 101.

'High expectations'? Compared to the girls versions nobody will care, no wonder the main PD jumped ship.Just get it over it and start thinking about the next produce with girls or a different concept.

I agree that nobody is going to care, last I heard none of the big companies want to be in it and even the midsize companies are passing on it; that leaves only smaller companies who don't have the training regime in place to make an impact and if you look at a lot of the trainees form the smaller companies that did compete in the last 101 a lot of them sued/left their label afterwards probably after meeting and talking to properly trained trainees.
